Who We Are
OxfordSpeaks, comprised solely of undergraduate and graduate students at the University of Oxford, is one of Oxford’s foremost global affairs societies. Our mission is to bring the world’s brightest minds to Oxford and foster debate and dialogue on some of the most pressing geopolitical issues of our time.
Our values & mission
Freedom of speech and wider intellectual freedom are paramount. By aiming to foster an open and inclusive environment to allow open and respectful discussion to thrive, we hope to empower students in turn to make change. In line with this mission, we host speakers of a wide range of backgrounds and beliefs.
Most importantly, we believe financial barriers should not obstruct the opportunity for students to engage with our events. Therefore, we aim to provide students with unparalleled access to some of the foremost thinkers and innovators, at little or no charge.
