Who We Are
OxfordSpeaks is a student led society with the aim of providing all students at the University of Oxford and members of the public with the opportunity to hear and engage with a wide range of distinguished speakers. Having hosted former Prime Ministers, Nobel Prize Winners, politicians and academics, we aim to provide our members with a diverse and impressive range of speakers to inspire, inform and engage.
Our values & mission
Freedom of speech and wider intellectual freedom are paramount. By aiming to foster an open and inclusive environment to allow open and respectful discussion to thrive, we hope to empower students in turn to make change. In line with this mission, we host speakers of a wide range of backgrounds and beliefs.
Most importantly, we believe financial barriers should not obstruct the opportunity for students to engage with our events. Therefore, we aim to provide students with unparalleled access to some of the foremost thinkers and innovators, at little or no charge.
